Board Meeting Minutes

September 7, 2003 1500-1600

Members Present: Beverly Femino, Deborah Tobin, Barbara Ash, and Karin Bennett

Excused: Angela Love-Zaranka

Next Board Meeting:
It was decided to meet before the quarterly meetings. Therefore the next meeting will be at 1230 before the December 14th Quarterly Meeting.

Sponsorship of Overseas Affiliates:
Discussed different ways to support ILCA affiliates and individual LCs…i.e. (IBLCE exam fees, books etc).

Website:
Sponsorship/ Corporate Donations:
Board agreed that both Hollister/Ameda and Medela sponsor our website ($200 per year for a link on our website).

Web Site Domain Name:
Barbara will ask several sources for an estimate for setting up a new website.

Chat Group:
Not much traffic so far. Bev will send email to group to encourage postings.

World Breastfeeding Week
5 corporations were honored with a framed certificate personally delivered by Marilyn Costanzo and Vergie Hughes.

September Meeting
Speaker: Diana West Breastfeeding after reduction
Geraldine Fitzgerald volunteered to be the reception hostess.
Deb will arranged AV support
Karin will call Diana for other publicity ideas for the talk
Bev will talk to Angela to get check for honorarium

December Meeting
Speaker: Kay Hoover.
