LCAGW Membership Information

The Lactation Consultant Association of Greater Washington (LCA of GW) is an affiliate of the International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA). Benefits of joining this professional association include: networking with peers, sharing expertise and experience, broadening knowledge base, enjoying opportunities to get to know fellow LCs in the locality and adjacent communities, and acquiring CERPs by attending educational offerings.

Two categories of membership are offered:

Voting: Offered to IBCLCs and includes meetings, free CERPs when offered, and voting privileges as outlined in the by-laws.

Associate: Offered to non-IBCLCs who share a common philosophy with other LCAGW members and/or have an interest in enhancing their professional growth and lactation related knowledge. CERPs, when offered, are available for a fee of $5.00 each.

Visitors are welcome at quarterly meetings, and members are encouraged to bring colleagues to meetings.
